Such a great experience. went for a date night .amazing food and drinks and our server was so amazing.
Such amazing food! We made the mistake of ordering an appie to share between the 2 of us; it was delicious but we left half to take home, & thank heaven! Neither of us could finish our dinners. The salmon was perfection; the gnocchi & shrimp covered with a most unusual but fabulous mushroom sauce. Very conscientious of food allergies & obliging of substitutions. We highly recommend.
Incredibly delicious food, huge selection, great service. My wife and I went on a date here and we had a great time. I would Recommend making reservations as the place was full. I called a couple hrs ahead and the only spot they had was 7:45. So the food, we decided to order our food tasting menu style so we started with the special which was Italian wedding soup. It was the most incredible Italian wedding soup ever. Think broth, vegetables pea shoots etc very delicious. While We waited for the soup they brought out focaccia bread with balsamic and olive oil which was great. Our next course was salad, my wife ordered a Cesar salad and i ordered something with apples, oranges greens, goat cheese nuts it was very good. Then we had the bruschetta, also excellent. For my meal I ordered the rack of lamb which was amazing. We were super full so we didn’t order desert. Our server, gave us great service and was very attentive and had no issues with brining our food out slowly in stages. We will be back.
Great food and great service at this hidden gem. It has been our favourite date night restaurant for many years! It's quiet and consistent, with nice, fresh ingredients. Our go-to choices are Scallopine Al Basilico, Filetto Di Manzo, and the Dessert Medley, with a bottle of St. Francis Merlot. Highly recommend Padrino's
Very nice and quiet Italian restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxing and the scenery I could see was appealing. I had the veal dish with pasta and vegetables and a side of asparagus. The food was terrific, especially the veal! Probably the best veal I've ever experienced. The prices are also very reasonable for the outstanding quality. I'd much rather pay 30 on an exquisite dish here than 30 on a half decent burger at some other places...
I love this place! This is the best Italian food in town and I always leave happy. I appreciate this restaurant as it isn't just another franchise like we see far too often in the community.
A fantastic meal! What a treat both favour & presentation. I was disappointed that their lamb was from NZ & not Alberta, however, the rest of the menu made up for that deficiency. A side note, the custard in their cream brulee is the best I have tasted in 20yrs!
My great server brought three pieces of bread for dipping in balsamic vinegar and olive oil...super tasty...I ordered the Caesar salad: I had a half order but it was the size of some establishment's regular size - delicious. I ordered the spaghetti with marinara sauce, also excellent...I haven't been here in a while but when I'm next in Grande Prairie, I'll eat there!
